Cheat Sheet: Eden (Dan Koe’s AI Tool)

What is Eden and what does it do?

Eden is Dan Koe’s AI-powered writing and creativity tool built specifically for solopreneurs and creators. Unlike generic ChatGPT, Eden is designed around the writing workflow — drafting, outlining, editing, and idea generation — with templates and prompts tailored to newsletter writing, social media content, and long-form essays.

Eden integrates with the Kortex system and the 2 Hour Writer methodology. If you already use those, Eden fills the AI assistant role. If you are starting from scratch, pair Eden with the AI Tools for Solopreneurs guide to understand the full stack.

How is Eden different from ChatGPT or Claude?

Three differences: (1) Eden’s templates are pre-configured for the creator workflow — hooks, threads, newsletter issues, essay outlines. ChatGPT requires you to craft those prompts from scratch. (2) Eden saves your writing style over time. It learns how you write and mirrors your voice. (3) Eden has a built-in content calendar and publishing queue so you can draft, schedule, and post from one interface.

The tradeoff: Eden costs more ($29/mo estimated) than ChatGPT Plus ($20/mo). You pay for the specificity. If you spend 10+ hours/week writing, Eden saves you 2-3 hours. At $29/mo, that is $1.45/hour saved. Worth it.

When should you use Eden vs other tools?

Use Eden when: you are writing content for your solopreneur business and want AI that understands the context. Use ChatGPT/Claude when: you need general research, coding help, or brainstorming. Both have their place. The combo: research in Claude, draft in Eden, edit with your brain.
